How are you celebrating today?
Because it’s a holiday. One I’ve never had off work, one I didn’t learn about until the END of college. Which is so unfortunate.
Juneteenth is a much more important day to my people than what the 4th of July claims to be.
I am grateful for those who came before me. Creativity is engrained in our family, and I am so incredibly thankful I have the ability to express that.
I am celebrating today by sharing an ongoing photography series and offering prints for sale. I urge you to support Black creatives, businesses, educators, organizations, etc as often as you can, but especially today.
Will you recognize today as a holiday worthy of celebration as well?
