What does clothing mean to you?

Contrary to what many may have led us to believe, clothing is not frivolous. Sure, excessive consumption of material items leans more towards our greed, but I’m not referring to that in this instance. 

ES did a “Clothing is _____” campaign earlier this year with amazing people in this space, and before that invited everyone to articulate what clothing was to them. Answers varied, but there was an intertwining element; clothing was not simply clothing.

Support. Expression. Adornment. Resistance. Culture. 

These are a few things that come to mind when I think about what clothing means to me.

When you put together an outfit, is it for form, function, fun, or a combination of all three?
