Who inspires you?

Last week we had a fashion challenge to specifically uplift Black people in this space. I noticed a few white people not follow the guidelines and there was a naysayer that said posting “inspired by” looks wasn’t genuine and still centered the poster.

Excuse me? 

We in the Black community have shared our inspiration from one another for countless years. The algorithm doesn’t care. Having white people with power challenge the bias and uplift us is exactly the point. Sure, not everyone is genuine with their claims to be “allies.” But I refuse to let those few stop others who are authentic with their appreciation of Black creativity & life.
