Have you moved on?

Amidst the fireworks and BBQ on this fake holiday, I’m noticing a lot less care about the pandemic as well as a weakened sense of urgency in the fight for Black & Brown justice. 

Are you going to stores again? Eating out because you can? Doing all the summery things that involve other groups of people without wearing masks/distancing? 

What about having those anti-racist conversations you promised you’d have last month? Where’d those learning resources go? How about supporting Black people in various ways?

Will you let the shimmer of summer distract you from what’s really important?
